After testing out the Dyson V16 Piston Animal for two days at home, my first impressions are that it's a very powerful and advanced cleaner. For the most part the new additions are welcome – the onboard dust compaction is a standout, but the upgraded Auto mode also seems useful, as does the quick-release tool mechanism. However, the fact the redesigned floorhead isn't straight along the front is already proving a major annoyance when cleaning the edges of rooms.
