The design of the new iPhone 5 is just gorgeous!
At a first sight the new iPhone 5 might seem nothing more than just what we have previously seen with the 4s.
But until you have held it, you really haven't seen it at all.
Indeed one of the most important features of the new iPhone 5
is its gorgeous new design. Apple worked really hard in order to get a thinner and lighter design without any compromise in terms of performance and functionality.
The result is a 7.6 millimeters thin device which weighing just 112 g is for sure the thinnest, lightest and fastest iPhone ever. A device that almost doesn't
seem heavy enough when you pick it up.
To make that happen Apple engineers worked with the best and newest technologies. First of all they used smaller components than before,
such as the nano-SIM card which is 44% smaller than the micro one.
They also developed a new cellular solution far away from the conventional approach to build LTE using two chips.
As a matter of fact the new iPhone 5 features only one chip, both for voice and data. In addition to that, looking at the phone we immediately find another big change. It is the
new branded Lightning which is 80% smaller than the 30-pinch connector.
But the new design doesn't only effect the internal components of the devices, but also the display that like the others is thinner than the previous version.
As a matter of fact the new retina display is the first with integrated touch technology. This was possible because Apple engineers decided not to create a separate layer of touch
electrodes between display pixels, which now have to double duty.
But iPhone 5´s new design is not only about smaller or different components. It's impossible not to notice the exquisite chamfer surrounding the iPhone 5 display.
A crystalline diamond cuts this beveled edge. It's what gives iPhone 5 its distinctive lines. Fitting for a phone so brilliant.
The back of the phone is made of anodized 6000 series aluminum, like Apple MacBook Pro, with inlays along the top and bottom made of ceramic glass or pigmented glass. This is one
of the most important difference between iPhone 5 and 4S since the shape of the two is nearly the exact.
Is the Display Retina 4" the best display iPhone has ever had?
iPhone 5 features a 4-inch display (at an 1136 x 640 resolution) that is bigger but it has the same width as iPhone 4S. That allows you not to change your habits because you can still
use one hand to do everything you have always done. This means you can still type on the keyboard with one hand and at the same time enjoy the bigger screen surfing on internet,
reading your emails and so on.
More over, the size of the new canvas fits more apps since it will show you one more row of apps. Of course, developers will be now able to show more information.
However the display is not only better because is bigger, but is even more vibrant too. At 326 pixels per inch, it has a pixel density so high your eye can't distinguish individual
pixels. Colors get a boost, too, with color saturation that's 44 percent greater than before. Especially gamer lovers will love it since contents on your iPhone 5 will feel incredibly
vivid and lifelike.
What can we find inside the iPhone 5?
The new Apple branded A6 CPU is the heart of the iPhone 5. Running at 1 Ghz it's claimed by Apple to be up to twice as fast compared with the A5 version, both for performances and
graphics. This means app launch, web pages load and email attachments appear instantly as well as you can power through graphics-intensive apps and games. And enjoy higher frame rates
for smoother, more realistic gameplay.
Other than the dual-core chip we find a 1 GB of RAM, storage ranging from 16 GB to 64 GB (which will influence the iPhone 5 price) and radios which support
Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, 3G and LTE on both CDMA and GSM networks, and a GPS chip.
Related to that it seems quite obvious Apple engineers focused on speed as well as design. As a matter of fact they paid attention on how to implement LTE technology in order to avoid
problems with battery life.
The final result is pretty amazing: LTE is optimized for better battery life and designed for ultrafast connectivity in a thin profile. In addition to that iPhone 5 supports all the
advanced networks all over the world such as HSPA, HSPA+, and DC-HSDPA.
Take beautiful pictures with the new camera of the iPhone 5!
One of the main reasons people love iPhone is because of its stunning pictures. This is the reason why iPhone is the most common camera in the world. Given that Apple decided that
everything made the iSight camera in iPhones 4s one of the world's favorite should have added on iPhone 5.
The device´s features the same 8 megapixels camera at the back like the iPhons 4s, while the front one has been upgraded to 1.2 megapixels, so now we are able to make FaceTime calls in
HD quality, even over a cellular connection. Naturally, you can also use the front camera to record 720p HD video.
A cool feature on the software side is definitely the panorama mode that lets you pan across a large scene at a constant pace, snapping photos as the phone's software stitches them
together in one big picture. Thanks to the perfect combination of gyroscope, A6 chip and Camera app iPhone 5 can create one seamless, high-resolution panorama up to 28 megapixels.
Talking about the Camera app, we can see several improvements like 40 percent faster photo capture, better low-light performance and improved noise reduction.
Going back to the back iSight camera, it records videos in 1080p HD, which means full HD. Here we can find some pretty interesting features like the improved video stabilization,
face detection up to 10 faces, and the chance still to take photos while you record.
